SEATTLE (Nov. 8) - Michelle Sanders of Seattle Pacific University has been named to the Verizon Academic All-District women's soccer second team.

Sanders (So., Centralia, Wa.), the scoring co-leader of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference with 11 goals and 30 points, becomes the Falcons' first such recipient. She is an exercise science major with a 3.79 grade point average. Earlier she had been named to the academic all-GNAC and all-conference selections.

Seattle Pacific won the GNAC title with an overall record of 13-4-2.
