SEATTLE (Oct. 28) -- Seattle Pacific University cross country runner Tim LeCount shared male athlete of the week in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference after a season-best effort at the conference championships.

LeCount (RS-Fr., Battle Ground, Wa.) finished eighth in the GNAC race, earning not only all-conference but also freshman of the year honors. His 8000-meter time of 25 minutes, 15 seconds was a 36-second improvement over his time on the same course Sept. 21 and it was a season-best 8k time by 6 seconds.

Western Washington's Paul Kezes, who won the GNAC title in 25:04, shared the weekly honor with LeCount. Both will next compete Nov. 9 at the NCAA West Regional in Fresno.
