SEATTLE (Oct. 14) -- Michelle Sanders of Seattle Pacific University was selected as the women's soccer player of the week in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference after breaking a school record and scoring four goals in the Falcons' two wins.

Sanders (So., Centralia, Wa.) broke the SPU record for total points (8) and tied the single-game goals mark with three goals and two assists in a 7-1 victory over Carroll College. She also scored the first goal in a 2-1 win over Humboldt State and now has five goals during a five-game unbeaten streak and seven for the season.

The Falcons (7-4-2) host Grand Canyon Thursday afternoon at 4.
