SEATTLE (Sept. 30) -- Seattle Pacific
University cross country runner Nicole Seana was selected as Great
Northwest Athletic Conference female runner of the week for her
role in leading the Falcons to their first team victory of the
season at the Saint Martin's Invitational.
Seana (Jr., Carnation, Wa./Kamiakin) cut 40
seconds off her 5000-meter time from the previous week to take
sixth place in 10 minutes, 3 seconds. She was SPU's top finisher
and it was her highest placement in a meet since being runner-up
in the 1999 conference championships as a freshman.
Seana and the Seattle Pacific women's team
faces Western Washington in a dual meet Saturday in Maple Falls. |
