Seana's Improvement Noted; Takes GNAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week
September 30, 2002

SEATTLE (Sept. 30) -- Seattle Pacific University cross country runner Nicole Seana was selected as Great Northwest Athletic Conference female runner of the week for her role in leading the Falcons to their first team victory of the season at the Saint Martin's Invitational.

Seana (Jr., Carnation, Wa./Kamiakin) cut 40 seconds off her 5000-meter time from the previous week to take sixth place in 10 minutes, 3 seconds. She was SPU's top finisher and it was her highest placement in a meet since being runner-up in the 1999 conference championships as a freshman.

Seana and the Seattle Pacific women's team faces Western Washington in a dual meet Saturday in Maple Falls.
