SEATTLE (June 21) -- Chris Randolph, the
Colorado state runner-up in the boys high jump from Denver
Christian High School, has signed a national letter of intent to
compete in track & field for Seattle Pacific University next
season.
Randolph cleared 6 feet, 6 inches at the state
3A meet last month and also ran a leg of the 4 x 400 relay which
took second place. SPU Coach Jack Hoyt considers him an excellent
prospect for the decathlon during his collegiate career.
Seattle Pacific is an NCAA Division II program
and its male athletes won three events at the Great Northwest
Athletic Conference championships in 2002.
