SEATTLE (June 13) -- The second season of women¹s
soccer at Seattle Pacific University features 11 home games at
Interbay Stadium next fall.
The Falcons host Whitworth College in the home
opener Sept. 10 and face Cal State Dominguez Hills, a 2001 NCAA
playoff selection, Oct. 4. Play begins Aug. 31 at Sonoma State,
the first of three games in Northern California.
In the inaugural season, SPU went 8-10-1 and
was in contention for the Great Northwest Athletic Conference
title until the final week. Coach Bobby Bruch expects to have most
of his players back, including six starters.
Seattle Pacific plays four straight home games
in mid-October and finishes the regular season with six of eight
at Interbay.
