SEATTLE (Apr. 12) -- Mandy Wood, a three-time all-Olympic League selection at Port Angeles High School, has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Seattle Pacific University.

Wood, a 5-foot-7 guard, was a three-year starter who led the Roughriders to fifth place in the state tournament as a junior and a 22-6 record as a senior, averaging 16.0 points and four assists. She finished with 1295 career points, averaging 12.7 per game.

Seattle Pacific was 22-6 this past season and earned an NCAA Division II playoff berth for the sixth year in a row. All-conference center Kelley Berglund (Jr., 6-3, Port Angeles, Wa.) is among the five starters expected to return for Coach Gordy Presnell.
