SEATTLE (Mar. 2) -- Ally Studer's season-best
clearance in the pole vault was the highlight of the meet for the
Seattle Pacific University as indoor competition concluded at the
Washington Qualifier Saturday at the Dempsey Indoor Facility.
Studer (So., Redmond, Wa./Redmond) vaulted 11
feet, 9 3/4 inches to take sixth place overall. Kathleen Donahgue
of Stanford won at 12-9 1/2.
Also finishing with an indoor season-best mark
was Amanda McClary (Fr., Shelton, Wa.) in the 400-meter dash. She
took sixth in 59.41 seconds.
Stephanie Huffman (Sr., Brush Prairie,
Wa./Prairie) finished second in the long jump at 17-3. Rachel Ross
was eighth in the 800 (2:17.42).
For the SPU, the distance medley relay won in a
time of 10:15.86, Pacific Lutheran was runner-up in 10:17.43.
