SEATTLE (Feb. 14) -- Megan Lienhard of
Everett's Cascade High School and Julie Bosa from Seattle's Holy
Names Academy have each signed national letters of intent to play
soccer Seattle Pacific University next fall.
Lienhard, a midfielder/forward, was a
three-time all-Wesco first team selection for the Bruins and
graduates as the school's all-time scoring leader. Her Marysville
Force club won the premier league. Earlier she won two state
championships with the Shooting Stars and was a member of the
state ODP team in 2000.
Bosa, a native of Mukilteo, was a first team
all-Metro League selection at defender each of her four seasons at
Holy Names. She was captain of Emerald City F.C. which won the
2001 state championship.
Bosa and Lienhard join Shannon Lovejoy (Seattle
Prep) and Jean Kolb (South Eugene, Or.) as the first recruits
signed by Coach Bobby Bruch. Seattle Pacific finished its
inaugural season with a record of 8-10-1.
