SEATTLE (Feb. 13) -- Jean Kolb of South Eugene
(Or.) High School has become Seattle Pacific University's second
women's soccer recruit by signing a national letter of intent.
Kolb was a two-time all-Midwestern League
defender for South Eugene, where she's also a standout in track &
field. She won the district 200 meters and finished second in the
100 as a junior, and has qualified for the state championships in
those events as well as the 4 x 100 relay the past two years.
Kolb currently plays soccer for the Oregon West
club of Corvallis after spending the previous three years with
Eugene's McKenzie United.
Another Eugene native, Jennifer Hull of Sheldon
High, was Seattle Pacific's starting goalkeeper as a freshman last
fall. The Falcons finished their inaugural season at 8-10-1 under
Coach Bobby Bruch. Shannon Lovejoy, a midfielder from Seattle
Prep, was Bruch's first signee earlier this week.
