SEATTLE (Feb. 6) -- While the women's
basketball team of Seattle Pacific University moved up, the men
held steady in this week's regional ratings by the NCAA Division
II committees.
The Falcon (16-4) women rose to No. 5 in the
West, up one spot from last week. SPU visits Western Washington,
the No. 2 team, Thursday night in a Great Northwest Athletic
Conference game. Cal Poly Pomona remains No. 1.
Meanwhile, Seattle Pacific (18-2) remained No.
3 among men's teams, behind Cal State San Bernardino and Humboldt
State. The Falcons face Seattle University Thursday night at
Connolly Center.
The top six teams for both men and women will
qualify for the NCAA tournament next month.
