SEATTLE (Feb. 4) -- After posting back-to-back
double-doubles in a pair of wins, including 22 rebounds in her
last outing, Seattle Pacific University's Kristin Poe was selected
as women's basketball player of the week in the Great Northwest
Athletic Conference.
Poe established a GNAC season-high with her 22
boards and also added 17 points and five steals in a 85-67 victory
over Saint Martin's. in a 18-point win over Saint Martin¹s.
Earlier, she had 13 points, 12 rebounds and five steals in a 74-59
win over Northwest Nazarene. She finished the week with 30 points
(12-27 FGs), 34 rebounds, five assists and nine steals.
The 22 rebounds was the second-most in school
history and the most by an SPU player in 11 years. Poe has four
double-doubles this season and is averaging 9.4 points and 7.5
rebounds. She is second in the GNAC, averaging 2.7 steals.
The Falcons (8-3, 16-4), ranked 12th in the
most recent NCAA Division II poll, return to action Thursday at
Western Washington.
