SEATTLE (Jan. 28) -- Seattle Pacific University
remains among the top 10 men's basketball teams in NCAA Division
II this week despite its first loss in over two months. The
Falcons exchanged places with Humboldt State after the Lumberjacks
snapped a record 15-game win streak with an 84-78 win in Arcata,
Ca., with SPU landing at No. 10 and the 'Jacks at No .8.
Undefeated Cal State San Bernardino held on at
No. 1 and another West Region team, Cal State Bakersfield, broke
into the rankings at No. 22 in this week's coaches poll for The
Division II Bulletin.
Seattle Pacific (8-1, 16-2) hosts Saint
Martin's in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference game Thursday
night. SPU has won its last 10 home games.
