Stone's Overall Play Earns GNAC Co-Player of Week
January 21, 2002

SEATTLE (Jan .21) -- Brannon Stone of Seattle Pacific University earned men's basketball co-player of the week in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference for his overall contributions in extending the Falcons' win streak to 15 games last week.

Stone (Sr., 6-9, Oak Harbor, Wa.) hit 6-12 shots outside the 3-point arc, scored 31 points and passed for 11 assists with just one turnover during convincing home victories over Alaska Fairbanks and Alaska Anchorage. That included his second double-double of the season, 17 points and 10 rebounds versus the Nanooks.

During those games, Stone moved into No. 4 on the school's career rebounding list and No. 7 in scoring. He already is the career blocked shots leader and is 17 steals away from that mark. He is averaging 10.2 points

Seattle Pacific (7-0, 15-1), ranked No. 8 in the nation, visits No. 10 Humboldt State Thursday night.
