SEATTLE (Jan .21) -- Brannon Stone of Seattle
Pacific University earned men's basketball co-player of the week
in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference for his overall
contributions in extending the Falcons' win streak to 15 games
last week.
Stone (Sr., 6-9, Oak Harbor, Wa.) hit 6-12
shots outside the 3-point arc, scored 31 points and passed for 11
assists with just one turnover during convincing home victories
over Alaska Fairbanks and Alaska Anchorage. That included his
second double-double of the season, 17 points and 10 rebounds
versus the Nanooks.
During those games, Stone moved into No. 4 on
the school's career rebounding list and No. 7 in scoring. He
already is the career blocked shots leader and is 17 steals away
from that mark. He is averaging 10.2 points
Seattle Pacific (7-0, 15-1), ranked No. 8 in
the nation, visits No. 10 Humboldt State Thursday night.
