SPU Men Move Up to Highest Ranking in Seven Years

SEATTLE (Jan. 14) -- Seattle Pacific University will take its highest national ranking in seven years into the final two games of its men's basketball homestand this week at Brougham Pavilion.

The Falcons (13-1), who will go after a record-tying 14th straight win Thursday night against Alaska Fairbanks, are ranked No. 9 in this week's NCAA Division II poll. It is their best ranking since a two-week stay at No. 4 in 1993-94. They were No. 10 last week.

After finishing this seven-game homestand Saturday against Alaska Anchorage, SPU plays seven of the next nine on the road, beginning Jan. 24 at unbeaten and 10th-ranked Humboldt State.
