SEATTLE (Jan. 10) -- Erik Skipper of Seattle
Pacific University has been voted to the Verizon Academic
All-Region team for men's soccer and is now a finalist for
Academic All-America.
Skipper (Sr., Hillsboro, Or./Glencoe) is a
science education major with a 3.34 grade point average. He had
earlier repeated as a member of the all-Great Northwest Athletic
Conference academic team. A four-year starter in midfield, Skipper
finished 2001 as the Falcons' co-leader with six goals and was a
first team all-GNAC selection.
Seattle Pacific finished the season with a
record of 10-8-1 and brings back nine starters next year.
