SEATTLE (Dec. 31) -- Yusef Aziz of Seattle Pacific University was selected as the Great Northwest Athletic Conference men's basketball co-player of the week for the second time in December after helping the Falcons extend their winning streak to 10 games.

Aziz (Jr., 6-4, Seattle, Wa./Foster-Highline CC) received the most votes on the Oak Harbor Freight Lines Holiday Classic all-tournament team after scoring 37 points, hitting 13-21 field goals and totaling 12 rebounds and eight steals in convincing wins over Texas A&M Commerce (78-62) and Lewis-Clark State (80-64).

Aziz, who leads SPU in scoring for the season at 15.8, also won the conference award Dec. 17.

The Falcons, ranked No. 12 in NCAA Division II, resume GNAC play Thursday when they host Northwest Nazarene at 7:30. The Seattle Pacific women's team hosts Seattle U. at 5:30.
