SEATTLE (Nov. 27) -- Paced by the 18 points and
14 rebounds of center Kelley Berglund, 20th-ranked Seattle Pacific
University surpassed the century mark for the fourth game in a
row, beating Northwest College 102-51 in a nonconference women's
basketball game Tuesday night at Brougham Pavilion.
The Falcons (5-0), who matched their best start
in four years, also got 13 points apiece from Stephanie Urrutia
(Jr., 5-9, Sunnyside, Wa.) and Valerie Gustafson (So., 6-0,
Olympia, Wa./Black Hills). Emily Faurholt (Fr., 5-11, Kennewick,
Wa.) added 11. SPU has won 26 of its last 27 home games but does
not return to Brougham until Jan. 3.
Berglund (Jr., 6-3, Port Angeles, Wa.), a
transfer from Washington State, hit 7 of 15 field goals and
grabbed eight of her rebounds off the offensive glass. She also
contributed two blocked shots and four steals.

percent and was out-rebounded by 21.
Kerie Hughes (Jr., 5-6, Mount Vernon, Wa./Mt.

Falcons, who came within one assist of the team record with 34.
Seattle Pacific broke a 20-all tie with a 23-6

scored six of the first 16 points by running out ahead of the
break and making layups. The Falcons, shooting 50 percent, led
50-28 at intermission.
The bulge grew to 46 points after SPU reeled
off 26 unanswered points to start the second half. Faurholt scored
