SEATTLE (Nov. 15) -- Tony Binetti, a standout
point guard who helped Enumclaw High School reach the state 4A
tournament each of the past three years, has signed an early
national letter of intent to play basketball for Seattle Pacific
University beginning next season.
"The fact that we signed Tony
early speaks for itself," said SPU Coach Ken Bone. "We
believe he's going to be a big part of our program for years to
come. Tony's an exception point guard."
Seattle Pacific is coming off its fourth
straight NCAA Division II playoff appearance and went to the Final
Four in 2000. The Falcons open the regular season Friday when they
face Indianapolis in the first round of the Vitamilk Tip-Off
Classic at Brougham Pavilion.
