SEATTLE (Nov. 11) The Seattle Pacific
University volleyball team is headed to its second consecutive
NCAA Division II playoff appearance. SPU, who finished in a
three-way tie for second place in the Great Northwest Athletic
Conference, received one of six berths in the NCAA Division II
Pacific Region tournament field announced Sunday night.
"We are very excited to be making
our second straight trip to the postseason," said SPU Head
Coach Kellie Radloff. "We have a veteran team going down that
knows what to expect and what it takes to succeed."
SPU begins competition Thursday (Nov. 15) at
7:30 p.m. versus Pacific West Conference champion Hawaii Pacific
University. California Collegiate Athletic Association champion
Cal State San Bernardino earned the No. 1 seed and is hosting the
tournament.
The Falcons earned the No. 5 seed behind HPU
(No. 4), Western Washington University (No. 3) and University of
California - San Diego (No. 2). Cal State L.A. (No. 6) earned the
final berth. |
