SEATTLE (Oct. 30) -- Seattle Pacific University
graduating seniors and starting midfielders Bob Schefter and Erik
Skipper plus sophomore Michael Schefter were each selected to the
Academic All-Great Northwest Athletic Conference men's soccer team
announced today.
Skipper (Sr., Hillsboro, Or./Glencoe) was a
repeat selection while the Schefter brother, both midfielders from
Yakima's West Valley High School, are first-time selections.
Skipper, who is second on the team with five goals, is a science
education major with a 3.34 grade point average. Bob Schefter, who
has five assists and 11 points this season, majors in business
administration with a 3.27 GPA. Michael Schefter, who also has
five goals, is an accounting major with a 3.49.
The Falcons (10-6-1) are ranked No. 21 in NCAA
Division II and are in contention for a playoff berth going into
the final two regular season games.
