SEATTLE (Oct. 13) -- Lesley Kamphouse (Sr.,
Sumas, Wa./Nooksack Valley) slammed a season-high 17 kills to lead
the Seattle Pacific volleyball team to a win over Western Oregon
University, 30-18, 21-30, 30-22, 30-27, in a conference matchup
Saturday at Brougham Pavilion. The Falcons are currently ranked
5th in the NCAA West Region.
The Falcons (8-3, 15-4) showed tremendous
resilience against the Wolves (6-4, 9-8) after Leilani Kamahoahoa

the third game after aggravating an injury. SPU finished off the
game to go up 2-1 and then overcame a Wolves surge in game four to
claim the victory.
Cathleen Price (Fr., Gresham, Or./Sam Barlow)
and Leah Wiiest (Sr., Spokane, Wa./Cornell/Deer Park) recorded 16
and 13 kills, respectively, to help lead the winning effort for
the Falcons.
Carri Colvin (Jr., Brush Prairie, Wa./Prairie)
led five Falcons in double-figure dig totals, finishing with 20.
Katy Higgins (So., Kirkland, Wa./Redmond) finished with a
team-high 56 assists.
Megan Korne led the Wolves with 13 kills.
SPU travels to Ellensburg next Friday, Oct. 19,
