SEATTLE (Oct. 1) -- Seattle Pacific University's Jamie Witt (So., Folsom, Ca.) ran her way to Great Northwest Conference women's cross country athlete of the week by finishing sixth at the Western Washington Invitational. Witt was the top GNAC harrier in the meet and helped SPU take fourth as a team.

Completing the 6000-meter course in 22 minutes, 48 seconds, Witt established herself as one of the top contenders for the GNAC individual crown, which will be determined Oct. 13 in Anchorage.
