SEATTLE (Sept. 24) -- David Smith of Seattle Pacific University was selected as Great Northwest Athletic Conference men's soccer player of the week after scoring two goals and assisting on another as the Falcons stretched their win streak to four games.

Smith (Fr., Corvallis, Or./Corvallis), a freshman forward who had missed the first six games of the season with a pulled hamstring, came off the bench to score the first goal in a 2-0 defeat of Sonoma State and, after assisting on the first goal, hit the game-winner in sudden death overtime of the 3-2 win over UC Davis.

Seattle Pacific (5-3-0) hosts San Francisco State Tuesday night at 7.
