Nationally Ranked Sonoma State Head-Butts Falcons
September 21, 2001

ROHNERT PARK (SEPT. 21)- Cassie Martinez headed in a corner kick with just over ten minutes to play in regulation to lift 21st-ranked Sonoma State over Seattle Pacific University 2-1, in a non-conference women's soccer match at Rohnert Park Friday afternoon

Sonoma led 1-0 at the break but Tara Wood (Fr., Bellevue, Wa./Newport) gathered in a cross from Melissa Ellingson (Fr., Shoreline, Wa./Shorewood) and bulleted a shot past the Cossacks' goalie to tie things up in the 63rd minute before Martinez headed in the eventual winner.
