BELMONT, Calif. (Sept. 17) -- For the first
time the Seattle Pacific University women's soccer team was held
scoreless Monday, falling to Notre Dame de Namur 1-0 in overtime.
Amber Davidson scored the Argonauts' winning
goal in the 14th minute of the first overtime after a weak
defensive clearance by the Falcons (3-3-1).
The loss snapped a modest two-game win streak
for Seattle Pacific, which had scored at least two goals in its
last five outings.
Andrea Larsen (Sr., Portland, Or./Central
Catholic) nearly won the game for SPU in regulation but her 6-yard
shot from a Michelle Sanders (Fr., Centralia, Wa.) corner kick hit
the left post.
Larsen was credited with four shots.
Notre Dame finished with a 17-10 advantage in
shots. Jennifer Hull (Fr., Eugene, Or./Sheldon) made five saves
