SEATTLE (Apr. 30) -- Seattle Pacific University
sprinter Cyrena Bell (Sr., Kent, Wa./Christian Faith) was selected
as Pacific West Conference women's track and field co-athlete of
the week after running the fastest 400-meter time in the
conference at last week's Cougar Invitational.
Bell's fourth-place time of 56.38 seconds was a
personal-best and an NCAA provisional qualifying time. She also
anchored the 4 x 100 relay which ran a provisional standard of
47.92 seconds.
Bell and the Falcons will defend the women's
team title at the PacWest Championships Saturday in Monmouth, Or.
