SEATTLE (Apr. 23) -- Stephanie Huffman, Seattle Pacific University's multiple event star, has been selected as Pacific West Conference women's track & field athlete of the week after posting two of the nation's top qualifying marks.

Huffman (Jr., Brush Prairie, Wa./Prairie) threw the javelin a personal-best 149 feet, 6 inches--the No. 2 mark in NCAA Division II this season--and scored 4935 points in the California Invitational heptathlon. The latter is the fifth-best score in Div. II. She also made the national provisional qualifying standard in the high jump, clearing 5-5 3/4.
