SEATTLE (Mar. 19) -- Freshman pole vaulter Ally Studer of Seattle Pacific University was selected as Pacific West Conference women's track & field athlete of the week after breaking her own school record at the Oregon Preview meet.

Studer (Fr., Redmond, Wa./Redmond) surpassed her two-week-old mark with a clearance of 11 feet, 11 ¾ inches at Eugene to finish third. It is the second-best eight among NCAA Division II provisional qualifiers this season. She had broken the SPU record initially by 8 inches at 11-3 on Mar. 3.
