SEATTLE (Feb. 23) -- Gyongyver "Gus" Balogh, top scorer for Seattle Pacific University's women's basketball team, has been voted to the Verizon Academic All-District VIII team.

Balogh (Sr., 5-11, Szombathely, Hungary), the No. 2 scorer in the Pacific West Conference (17.8), is an economics major with a 3.91 GPA. She is now a finalist for the Academic All-America team which will be announced next month.

Earlier this week Balogh was named to the academic all-conference team for the third year in a row.

The 17th-ranked Falcons, who need one more win to clinch the PacWest title, play at Central Washington Saturday night.
