After three weeks of no movement, Seattle
Pacific University finally inched upward in this week's NCAA
Division II women's basketball rankings. The Falcons (18-3),
leading the Pacific West Conference and winners of seven in a row,
moved up one spot to No. 19. They resume play Thursday night at
Alaska Fairbanks.
Incidentally, a Division II survey shows that
the SPU women's and men's teams have the seventh-best combined
record (35-7) in the nation.
The Falcon men (17-4) received some votes in
this week's coaches poll. They begin a five-game homestand
Thursday night at 7 versus Saint Martin's.
