SEATTLE, Wa.-Gus Balogh's 24 points led five
Falcons in double figures as the 19th-ranked Seattle Pacific
University women's basketball team downed Northwest College 100-65
at Brougham Pavilion Wednesday night.
Balogh (Sr., Szombatheley, Hungary) scored 16
of her points in the first half including the first 10 points of
the game. The senior forward was 11 of 17 from the field on the
night. Balogh was two of four from beyond the arc and rebounded
the ball eight times.
Teammate Valerie Gustafson (Fr., Black Hills,
Wa.) dropped in 15 points and had five rebounds for Seattle
Pacific. The Falcons out-rebounded Northwest College 54-39.
Stephanie Urrutia (Fr., Sunnyside, Wa.) had 13
points, Brianne Prescott (Jr., San Jose, Ca./Mitty/San Jose CC)
tallied 12 and Stacie Lukkes (So., Kent, Wa.) added 10 points a
game high nine rebounds for SPU. Katy Lockard dropped in 18 points
to lead the Eagles. Holly Seymour had seven points and a team high
eight rebounds.
Seattle Pacific breaks until January 4, when
they resume PacWest Conference play at Western New Mexico. Tip off
is scheduled for 6:00 PST.
