No. 19 Falcons Drop Western Baptist to Remain Unbeaten at Home

SEATTLE, Wa.-Valerie Gustafson scored 17 points and Stephanie Urrutia had 13 as Seattle Pacific University dropped Western Baptist 78-46 in a women's basketball game Monday night at Brougham Pavilion.

Gustafson (Fr., Black Hills, Wa.) scored 13 of her game-high 17 points in the second half including back-to-back buckets with just under eight minutes to play. The freshman post finished the night with four rebounds and a block to go along with point total, and shot eight of 11 from the paint.

Teammate Urrutia gave the Falcons a 23-point lead with a three-pointer with 11:53, and then followed 27 seconds later with a lay-up to make the score 52-27. Urrutia assisted on a game-high eight plays.

Liz Guppy (Sr., Beaverton, Or./Westview) netted her first double-double of the season, scoring 11 points and yanking down 11 rebounds. The Falcons out-rebounded Western Baptist 78-46.

Aubrey Dickson led the Warriors with 13 points.

Seattle Pacific (7-1) takes on Northwest College on Wednesday night (Dec. 20). Tip-off is at 7:00.
