The SDL McCarthy & WG Clark Construction Falcon Golf Classic XXI is now accepting entries for next month's event at Snohomish Golf Course. This year's tournament will be held Sept. 8 at 7:30 a.m. and again proceeds will benefit the athletic scholarship fund for men's basketball. SDL McCarthy and WG Clark Construction have come aboard as title sponsors in 2000.

Last year, in excess of $20,000 was raised by the Falcon Golf Classic, and the SPU coaching staff put those funds to good use, winning the Pacific West Conference and West Regional on the way to the NCAA Elite Eight semifinal finish.

The tournament features a best ball/scramble format, with additional contests for putting, longest drive, straightest drive, closest to the pin and hole-in-one. The individual registration fee of $150 includes green fees, continental breakfast, buffet luncheon, team and individual photos, prizes and carts.
