SPU Women's Hoops to Play 10 of Last 16 at Home
June 20, 2000

Much like last year, when the Falcon women's basketball team utilized the home-court advantage to win its final eight games and earn another NCAA Division II tournament berth, Seattle Pacific will feature a home schedule in 2000-01 which is heavily weighted toward the second half of the season.

Ten of the team's final 16 games will be played at Brougham Pavilion.

However, to start the campaign, five of the first six dates are on the road.

The Falcons, coming off a 21-7 record, feature 12 returning letterwinners and open the regular season at Central Washington's tournament Nov. 17-18. Southern Colorado is the home opener Nov. 22 and Pacific West Conference play commences Dec. 2 at conference newcomer Seattle University.

Northwest Nazarene also joins the PacWest this year.

Six home dates will be part of doubleheaders with the SPU men's team.

Western Washington, the defending PacWest champion, comes to town Dec. 16.

On Feb. 10 there's a rematch with Montana State Billings, which eliminated the Falcons from the West Regional in March.
