Three of the four Seattle Pacific University
home gymnastics meets will be compacted into a 7-day span,
according to the tentative 2001 season schedule.
The Falcons, aiming for their 19th straight
trip to the national championships next April, are set to start
the season Jan. 19-20, with back-to-back duals at Alaska
Anchorage.
San Jose State is the first visitor to Brougham
Pavilion Feb. 3. That will be the nightcap of a Homecoming
Saturday tripleheader, which includes two basketball games earlier
in the afternoon.
The final three home dates occur between Feb.
24 and the Senior Night dual with UC Davis Mar. 2. Davis, Ca., is
the tentative site of the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championships
Apr. 12-14.
Coach Laurel Tindall expects to have 11
returnees in her cast, including four past All-Americans.
