SEATTLE (June 2) -- Amy LeCount (Sr., Battle Ground, Wa.), the bow oar for Seattle Pacific's national championship varsity four crew, was named All-America first by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association and also Academic All-District by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

LeCount's boat captured the school's first national gold medal in rowing at the Champion International Collegiate Regatta May 14. That crew won four races during the season, including the conference championship at the Cascade Sprints. She is a biology major with a 3.83 grade point average.
