SEATTLE (May 16) -- Jordan Lee, the all-state
guard and two-time Chinook League MVP from Tacoma's Life Christian
Academy, has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball
for Seattle Pacific University beginning next season.
The 6-foot-2 Lee, who played both point and
shooting guard for the Eagles, is coming off a senior season in
which he averaged 16.6 points, 6.1 assists and 2.5 steals. Life
Christian was the top seed in the state 1A tournament and finished
eighth with a record of 19-9.
Lee was named all-area (all classifications)
and all-Pierce County in following both his junior and senior
seasons. He currently ranks third among students in his graduating
class with a grade point average of 3.93.
Lee becomes the only freshman recruit for
Seattle Pacific, which had earlier announced the transfers of Eric
Sandrin and Jesse Keely from Portland and Darrell Walker from
Eastern Washington.
The Falcons, under Coach Ken Bone (10th year),
are coming off their most successful season in program history,
finishing 27-5, winning the West Region and advancing to the
semifinal round of the NCAA Division II Elite Eight. The Falcons,
members of the Pacific West Conference, lost six seniors,
including four starters. |
