March 9, 2000

SEATTLE (Mar. 9) -- Jason Cox scored 18 points and Dominic Callori hit four free throws in the final 15 seconds as 22nd-ranked UC Davis defeated Brigham Young-Hawaii 60-53 in the opening round of the NCAA Division II West Regional men's basketball playoffs Thursday night at Brougham Pavilion.

The Aggies (22-6) advance to Friday's semifinal and face top-seeded and host Seattle Pacific (24-4) at 7:30. The Seasiders, making their first-ever NCAA tournament appearance, finished 19-9.
