Erin O’Connell, Assistant Athletic Director/Compliance

Now in her third year on the senior administrative staff, Erin O’Connell serves as the Senior Woman Administrator and Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance.

O’Connell is familiar with compliance and local intercollegiate athletics, having served as assistant coach for women’s rowing at the University of Washington from 1996-03. She was largely responsible for coaching the Huskies’ varsity four which won three consecutive Pac-10 Conference championships between 1999-2001.

O’Connell had a impressive career as a coxswain for the Huskies from 1993-96, winning three Pac-10 titles, plus a national bronze medal. As a senior she was a team captain and one of four Washington rowers named to the Pac-10 All-Conference Team. She O’Connell is a member of the NCAA Division II Women’s Rowing Championship Committee.

A native of San Francisco, Calif., O’Connell earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Washington in 1996. She recently completed her master’s degree in sports administration at SPU. O’Connell resides in Seattle’s Green Lake neighborhood.
