Erin
OConnell, Assistant Athletic Director/Compliance
Now in her third year on the senior
administrative staff, Erin OConnell serves as the Senior
Woman Administrator and Assistant Athletic Director for
Compliance.
OConnell is familiar with compliance and
local intercollegiate athletics, having served as assistant coach
for womens rowing at the University of Washington from
1996-03. She was largely responsible for coaching the Huskies
varsity four which won three consecutive Pac-10 Conference
championships between 1999-2001.
OConnell had a impressive career as a
coxswain for the Huskies from 1993-96, winning three Pac-10
titles, plus a national bronze medal. As a senior she was a team
captain and one of four Washington rowers named to the Pac-10
All-Conference Team. She OConnell is a member of the NCAA
Division II Womens Rowing Championship Committee.
A native of San Francisco, Calif., OConnell
earned her bachelors degree in English from Washington in
1996. She recently completed her masters degree in sports
administration at SPU. OConnell resides in Seattles
Green Lake neighborhood. |
