Grams, Athletic Trainer
Over his 31 years as athletic trainer at
Seattle Pacific, Bob Grams has become one of the most respected
professionals in his position. Grams, who coordinates and
administers all medical services and athletic care for SPU
intercollegiate athletes, was a member of the National Athletic
Trainers Association board of certification from 1985-93 and
1995-96.
Grams, assistant trainers Jeannette Kotch and
Julie Flantzer deal with care and prevention of injuries for some
225 athletes during a typical year. He has also served as an
assistant professor in the School of Physical Education at SPU.
Raised in Seattle, Grams earned his bachelors
degree from Washington State in 1976 and his masters in
Physical Education from the University of Arizona a year later.
His first head trainer assignment was with Tucson High in 1975-76
before moving to Seattle Pacific. Grams his wife Barb, son Corey
and daughter Ashley reside in SeaTac. |
