Uninstall Software
It is important to remove previous versions or other versions of Antivirus Software or Microsoft Office Suites before initiating a new installation. Multiple instances of the same type of program may cause the applications or computer to crash as well as run slowly.

Some applications, such as Microsoft Office 2008, provide its own removal tool within its application folder. Whenever possible it is recommended to use the applications own removal tools.

Windows 7/Vista

1. Open Programs and Features by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, and then clicking Programs and Features.
   
   
2. Select a program and then click Uninstall. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Windows XP

1. Open Add or Remove Programs by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, and then clicking Add or Remove Programs.
   
   
2. Select a program and then click Uninstall. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Apple PC

1. Open the Applications folder, select and drag the desired application to the Trash Can in the dock.
   
   
2. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

If you do not uninstall other versions of Microsoft Office on a windows Machine, programs in the suite will crash and you may be prompted to type a Product Key. If you're prompted to enter a product key, you have not uninstalled other versions of the MS Office Suite.
