Trouble with Cisco Clean Access (CCA)?
The Computer and Information Systems department seeks to maintain a secure network environment
for all faculty, staff, and students. In the pursuit of this goal there are certain measures
that must be taken by all users of the campus network to ensure safe and secure access to every resource.
CIS has deployed the Cisco Clean Access system to enforce network connectivity rules. All network users are required to authenticate with SPU credentials and have their system examined for security compliance.
The following is a list of requirements for all users to go through as they connect:
Authenticate with your SPU Username and Password
Use/install current Windows Updates - all critical patches for security vulnerabilities
Use/install current Anti-Virus Software - this software must be current and up-to-date
If you experience difficulty with the CCA steps, your computer may be in need of additional attention to get it to a state where it can safely connect. The steps described in these pages will also help ensure that your computer is secure and running to its full potential. Please make sure you have completed each one. The menu tabs along the top of this page provide instructions for each step.
How To
To have less trouble with CCA, good computing habits are necessary. The Internet has re-created "who is my neighbor". All computer owners need to learn core practices that will enhance their computing
experience
and positively affect other systems they are connected to through our networks.
