Wall Publishes in Journal of Pentecostal Theology

Paul T. Walls Professor of Scripture and Wesleyan Studies Rob Wall’s article “Waiting on the Spirit (Acts 1:4): Extending a Metaphor to Biblical Interpretation” has been published in the Journal of Pentecostal Theology 22 (2013), pp. 37-53. Wall studies Jesus’ parting instruction for his apostles to await the Spirit’s baptism in Jerusalem (Acts 1:4) in its compositional and canonical settings to construct a typology of biblical interpretation that includes the traditional Pentecostal practice of awaiting for the Spirit’s baptism/filling in prayer and worship.
