Social and Sustainable Management (MASSM)
Today's employers seek well-rounded employees to help them achieve their goals and make their organizations more responsible and sustainable. To help meet this need, the School of Business and Economics offers an 11-month, intensive, AACSB-accredited Master of Arts in Management with a specialization in Social and Sustainable Management (MASSM).
In the MASSM degree, you will gain an understanding of responsible, ethical, and sustainable business practices that serve customers, employees, and the community. You will also develop initiative and skills in analytical and critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, leadership, and team-building.
Who Should Pursue This Degree
If you did not major in business as an undergraduate student, are an academically strong self-starter, can learn independently and in teams, and have a strong desire to help others through sustainable and responsible enterprises, this program is for you.
The MASSM program enhances a liberal arts degree by integrating a real-world problem-solving approach. You will graduate with increased marketability and a new passion for serving people and caring for our planet.

Study Abroad Component
As part of the MASSM program, you will travel to India, China, or another developing or emerging market with fellow students and faculty to learn about responsible and sustainable business from a global perspective. This study abroad program will include a variety of cultural activities.
Research Assistantships and Scholarships
Financial assistance is available for this program. In addition to accessing traditional financial aid programs, you may be able to earn as much as $2,250 by working with SBE faculty on research projects.
Additionally, scholarships of $2,750 are available.
