Symphonic Wind Ensemble

The Symphonic Wind Ensemble is a select ensemble of wind and percussion players that performs in concerts and at high ceremonies each quarter, as well as annually at the acclaimed Sacred Sounds of Christmas, an Advent and Christmas celebration in downtown Seattle that features many of SPU's performing groups.

Membership

Membership in Symphonic Wind Ensemble is by audition. If you play the flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, horn, trombone, tuba, or percussion, you are invited to audition for Symphonic Wind Ensemble — whether you are a Music major, a Music minor, or a nonmajor. Auditions are held at the beginning of Autumn Quarter (see notices posted in the lobby of Crawford Music Building prior to the beginning of the quarter). A yearlong commitment is expected, and you may take the course an unlimited number of times.
