Music Scholarships

Violin

The Music Department awards nearly 100 music scholarships each year ranging from $1,000 to $4,000. These are merit, non-need-based scholarships that are renewable up to four years based on a student’s entry to SPU and are stackable with any other merit scholarship offered by Seattle Pacific University. You do not need to major in Music to receive these scholarships.

All music scholarships are awarded by an audition. Although all prospective and current students may audition, a music scholarship can be awarded only to students who have been admitted to Seattle Pacific University. Auditions are for music scholarships only. There is no audition required for entry to the music program.

SPU Endowed Music Scholarships

The Music Department also awards endowed scholarships to students who have been accepted into the Music major at Seattle Pacific University. Since you must complete representative course work at SPU before you can be accepted into the Music major, these scholarships are available only to students currently attending Seattle Pacific. Other than applying for the Music major, there is no other application process for SPU’s endowed music scholarships.
