South Africa Summer Program

This 10 credit program immerses students in South African literature, history, film, and theater. The South Africa program is an experiential form of learning with opportunities to visit an orphanage and build houses in the township with South African college students, staying at the University of Stellenbosch. We also visit the museums of Cape Town, and attend a writer's festival with guest speakers. As part of this experience, we will travel across the country to hike to the tip of South Africa, visit the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown, wander in the African crafts market, and lastly, ride in jeeps on safari in Addo Elephant Park.
