Israel/Palestine Global Seminar
Students will be exposed to both ancient biblical sites and contemporary “Living Stones,” traveling throughout Israel and Palestine to see where Jesus was born, where he grew up, and where he taught and healed people. We’ll travel to Bethlehem, Nazareth, Capernaum, the Sea of Galilee, Mount of Beatitudes, the Jordan River, and Jerusalem. We’ll also visit ancient landmarks described in the Old Testament, such as Jericho and Ramalla.
Through homestays, meeting and hearing from various perspectives in the region, and from reading books like Lemon Tree and Side by Side, students will be exposed to multiple perspectives on the conflict and those who are working for peace, reconciliation, and justice in the region.
