Student Stories
“As cliche as it sounds, there is no better way to describe the Galapagos and Belize study abroad trips than as the chance of a lifetime! I am a biology major, and I have always loved nature, and both of these trips definitely intensified my appreciation for the environment and for the beauty of God’s creation.
The Galapagos was the most unique place I have ever visited. The animals were relatively tame, and we were able to have many close-up encounters. I will never grow bored of bragging about our snorkels with sea lions and sea turtles, or our visits with giant tortoises and marine iguanas. It was amazing to not only learn about the plants and animals that surrounded us, but also to gain an understanding of how these islands came to be, and how important they have been for science. My trips to the Galapagos Islands and to Belize are two of the most amazing things I have done in my life. I believe that it would be impossible for anyone, biology major or not, to walk away untouched from one of these trips after witnessing such spectacular treasures of nature.”
